Frequently asked questions
My Common QUestions Answered
Do I need to have a Bridal Preview
I require all brides to have a preview, allowing us to plan your perfect look and ensure everything runs smoothly on the day. The preview is included within your bridal packages. However, if you feel strongly about not having one, please feel free to discuss with me.
When should I book my Bridal Preview?
Previews are typically completed outside of peak bridal season. My recommended time frame is 2-3 months prior to your wedding, ideally mimicking weather similar to your wedding date (where possible). You’re welcome to book earlier if you prefer, especially for destination weddings or peak dates. I will discuss the most suitable day and time of the week for your preview to fit into your routine.
Can I bring / have someone with at my trial?
Its recommended to have your preview conducted at my studio, which is based in Luton LU3. My studio does have space to bring a plus one for support. However, I do encourage a focused experience with myself 1-1, to really get to know each other and build our trust.
How far do you travel?
I’m based in Luton and travel is included within my packages to a certain mileage. I’m happy to travel further outside of these brackets, with a 50p per mile fee.
If your venue is outside of the UK or a longer distance (over an hour and a half) travel and hotel costs will apply. This can be discussed prior to your big day.
What brands do you use?
I use a range of luxury and professional brands chosen for quality, long wear, and photography. This includes MAC, Charlotte Tilbury, Lancôme to name a few. Everything is tailored to your skin type and preferences.
Do you offer touch ups during the day?
Both my packages offer a complimentary touch-up bag for your wedding day.
However, if you’d like to have my add-on ‘The Icon Treatment’ this will cover those post-ceremony touch-ups.
Do you do makeup for other events too (e.g. engagement, hen party)?
Yes! I offer makeup for special occasions, parties, and pre wedding events. Just let me know what you have planned and I’ll create a custom quote or alternatively your preview can take place on these days.
How long does the makeup take?
The Bridal Preview usually takes around 1.5 to 2 hours, depending on your chosen package. On the wedding day, I allow 1 hour minimum (for more natural brides) and 1 hour and 30 minutes maximum (for the more glam brides) For other bridal party members, I allow around 1 hour and under 12s around 30 minutes.
How do I secure my date?
After completing my enquiry form and you signing your contract, I will then take a booking fee to secure your wedding date. A £100 non refundable booking fee is required for the bride. This amount is deducted from your final balance. Additional party members can be confirmed closer to the day with a £10 deposit each.
How do I pay the final balance?
Your final balance is due 14 days before your wedding via bank transfer or cash. I’ll send you a reminder in advance.
